Pastor Jeff Strong
Bro. Jeff Strong is now in his 16th year as Pastor of Sullivan Baptist Church. Jeff has a BS in Electrical Engineering (1985) from Tennessee Technological University. He and his wife, Ramona, are natives of Kingsport and have been married for almost 25 years. Ramona has a bachelor's degree (1985) in Business from East Tennessee State University. Pastor Jeff and Ramona have two children. Their son, Tyler (20), is a junior at East Tennessee State University where he is a Communications Major active in Sports Broadcasting. Daughter, Sarah (17), is a senior at Sullivan South High School in Kingsport where she is Co-President of the Student Council and a member of the Sullivan South Lady Rebels Volleyball Team. After working in Engineering for almost 10 years, Jeff surrendered to full time ministry in January 1994. In June 1995, Sullivan Baptist Church called Jeff as Interim Pastor, which eventually led to full time ministry. He truly loves his church family and believes all men and women should be active in winning souls to Jesus. His favorite church activity? Worship.
Worship is such an exciting part of the Christian walk. Words cannot describe the experience I feel as the Holy Spirit stirs His people when they worship together in obedience. Worship must be celebration, adoration, proclamation, and elevation. In worship, people must see Jesus high and lifted up, not preachers, teachers, or individuals...only Jesus. The old time religion...it's good enough for me!" -- Preacher Jeff
Pastor Jeff served as Sullivan Baptist Association Moderator 2007-2009, Sullivan Baptist Association Evangelism Director 1997-1999, and as Secretary-Treasurer of the 2008 Tennessee Baptist Convention Pastor’s Conference. He has been program speaker at the Tennessee Baptist Convention Pastor’s Conference, and currently serves on the TBC Resolutions Committee. When away from the church, Pastor Jeff enjoys time on the bank fishing, traveling to Union University to see Tyler, watching Sarah play volleyball, and enjoying vacations with his family.
Travis McKee - Minister to Students
Travis is the most recent addition to the staff of Sullivan Baptist Church, as of January 2007. He has been serving in full time ministry for more eight years. He recently served as a full time Minister to Children & Youth in central Tennessee for six years. Travis is married to Melody, who also received her BA in Ministry from CCBBC in May 2001. They have been married for 10 years and have two precious boys, Brycen (age 5) and Brogen (age 3). He feels that God has blessed him with a wonderful family and that being a Godly example to them is very important. Travis enjoys football, golf, and sleeping! He also loves the TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS - GO BIG ORANGE!
Students are faced with so many difficult decisions and challenges. I feel that God has called me to Sullivan Baptist Church to lead and guide them through the Holy Spirit in love and truth. When students come to SBC for the first time, I want them to know of and accept God's marvelous grace, know that they are loved, and that God commands them to go and tell the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I truly believe that as soon as we leave through the church doors, our mission field begins. -- Travis McKee

Andy's wife, Erin, is a fourth-grade teacher at Blountville Elementary School. A graduate of East Tennessee State University, she holds a B.S. in Education and received an M.A. in Teaching from Tusculum College. Andy and Erin have been blessed with two children, Drew - age 5, and Hannah, who is now 2 years old. When Andy is not preparing for or leading worship, or spending time with his family, he enjoys hunting, fishing and golf. Of golf, he isn't good, but he enjoys it.
My desire as Music Minister of Sullivan Baptist is to be led by the Holy Spirit and see the church come together as one body lifting up the name of Jesus. I desire to see lives changed and brought closer to the Lord through song and for people to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ." -- Andy Coffman
